As Thai cannabis restrictions started to relax and new laws were written, Dutch Passion received numerous mails asking if seeds and cannabis buds could be sold to tourists & locals in Thailand. Siam’s Smile - new sativa strain bred to celebrate the Thai dispensary opening

To celebrate the unveiling of the Dutch Passion Bangkok Dispensary a new sativa strain has been created, known as Siam’s Smile. The base genetics came from the Dutch Passion cannabis seed archives. They were labelled simply as ’Thai Jungle Sativa 1972'.

Despite being stored in deep-freeze (admittedly for several decades) only 7 out of 33 original seeds grew into healthy plants. The best of these plants were selected for further breeding. A small quantity of Chocolate Thai genetics was added to increase yield and sweetness.

The final result is a beautiful, almost purely sativa blend known as Siam’s Smile. It has a strongly euphoric ‘up’ high that old-school Thai connoisseurs will love and remember with nostalgic joy. THC levels are very high, 20-25% when grown well. For Dutch Passion, the opening of a cannabis dispensary completes a long journey. September 1st event with Government invitees

For the Friday Sept 1st event we have invited the Thai Agricultural Ministry and the Royal Thai Seed Bank, plus several press/media outlets that have asked to be present.

There will be an opening ceremony and a quantity of cannabis seeds will be donated to the Thai Royal Seed Bank and some local master growers. The Thai Royal Seed Bank holds seeds for all kinds of agricultural crops and are making them available for Thai farmers that want to grow a specific harvest.

This is done to help local farmers (seeds are often/usually free for them) and to ensure the Thai people will never go hungry or see their jars run empty. Dutch Passion were impressed with the concept of the Thai Royal Seed Bank and are happy to contribute some cannabis seeds to their inventory!

September 2nd event with the public, influencers & growers

On Saturday, there will be a meet-and-greet session with internet journalists/bloggers and influencers as well as some local growers & regular customers. We will run a workshop/seminar and all customers that buy seeds during the weekend will be given some free bonus cannabis seeds of Siam’s Smile.
