Autoflowers cannabis seeds THC levels

Autoflowers cannabis seeds THC levels

THC levels in the best autoflower strains are often around and above 25% THC. That’s right up there with the best photoperiod feminised strains. Many home growers as well as professional licensed growers enjoy the speed, ease-of-growth and extremely high THC levels produced by the best autoflower seeds. They grow from seed to harvest in around 10-11 weeks indoors with 20 hours of daily light. Autos can also be grown outdoors, just choose the 3 warmest and sunniest months and a good grow location. Autoflowers can also be rich in other cannabinoids such as CBD (CBD Auto Charlotte’s Angel), CBG (Auto CBG-Force), CBDV (Auto CBD-Victory).

Average THC levels in autoflowering cannabis seeds

Dutch Coffee Shops provide a good benchmark when it comes to classifying THC levels in cannabis. Regular independent Dutch Government monitoring studies on coffee shops have established that the average THC levels in most of the cannabis sold is around 15%. That’s often lower than most people anticipate, but it’s been independently verified over many years and hundreds of coffee shops. Therefore 15% THC is considered a high amount of THC. THC levels of around 20% are far less common and considered very high. THC levels of around 25% are rarely recorded (though often advertised). These are considered extremely high THC levels.

Most of Dutch Passion’s cannabis seeds tend to be in and around the 20% THC levels, but some of the very best cannabis seeds produce THC levels around and even above 25% THC. These are all part of the exclusive High THC cannabis seed collection and are well worth checking out if you only want to produce the very strongest THC levels.

It’s important to state that the best autoflower strains have the same THC levels as the best photoperiod feminised strains. It’s no longer correct to state that autoflower strains have slightly lower THC levels than their photoperiod relations. If anything, the opposite may often seem to be the case. Auto Skywalker Haze, for example, has seen THC levels of 29%. The photoperiod equivalent strain (Skywalker Haze) hasn’t yet produced quite the same extreme THC levels.

Of course, there are many specialists lower-THC strains available, e.g. low THC, high CBD medical strains. But if you are a recreational grower wanting to grow strains with the very highest THC levels then the best autoflower seeds are just as good a choice as the best photoperiod feminised seeds. If anything, you may find autoflower seeds are somewhat faster and perhaps easier to grow.

The following professional grow tips may prove useful to growers seeking to maximise the THC levels from their crops.

Upgrade to LED grow lights. Buying an LED grow light is a serious investment, one of the most expensive grow room investments you can make. But it will also be one of the best! Upgrading from HPS to a good quality LED will definitely improve THC levels as well as the terpene profile. LED uses a carefully selected blend of wavelengths to produce maximum growth and cannabinoid production.

HPS emits a great deal of less useful orange/yellow wavelengths. Furthermore, HPS produces inherently high levels of stress-inducing infra-red heat. If you’re used to producing strains with around e.g. 17% THC in the buds, an LED upgrade will allow you to reach nearer 22-23% THC.

Invest in UVA/UVB supplemental light to use in bloom. Using a UVA/UVB fluorescent light in your grow room is a good way to push THC levels up as far as the cannabis genetics allow. Supplemental UVA & UVB mimics that which is naturally produced by the sun.

Avoid underfeeding/overfeeding your plants, consider slow-release organic nutrients. Over fed cannabis plants often end up with stunted growth, scorched roots and lower yields/quality. One visual sign of overfeeding are the crispy dry, brown leaf tips.

Your plant has been struggling to survive rather than thriving. Underfed plants will also show lower yield and lower levels of cannabinoids and terpenes. If you have experienced over-feeding and under-feeding issues when using traditional bottled nutrients then perhaps it could be time to try slow release organic nutrients such as those from BioTabs. They release you from the hassle of using bottled nutrients. Instead, you just need to add water…and perhaps a touch of general-purpose bloom nutrients at the very end of bloom.

Keeping your plants in the nutrient sweet spot from cannabis seed to harvest maximises your chances of an optimised grow with the highest THC levels. You will also enjoy great taste and aroma with slow-release organic nutrients.

Use an aerated grow container. You will see improved results when switching to air-pots or fabric grow sacks. Both options allow inherently superior levels of root aeration/oxygenation than you would get from traditional grow containers. Your plant will produce a healthy root mass in an aerated environment. All the best growers know the value of healthy cannabis roots when it comes to high THC levels and high-quality results.

Start with the best cannabis seeds from a seed bank you can trust. The best seed compa-nies take their work seriously. But the sheer number of amateur autoflower seed suppliers make the process of seed selection difficult. Many buy and sell cannabis seeds on the wholesale mar-ket with little or no idea of seed quality. You simply can’t produce high THC buds from low quality cannabis seeds. Do your research carefully. A few cannabis cups are a sign that your seed company regards cannabis seed quality with the utmost importance.
