Antonio has collected cuttings of his finest cannabis cup winners over the years allowing him to assemble one of Europe’s finest independent collections of elite genetics.

Antonio explained more about his thinking and choice of parent genetics:

“The goal here was to make a new Runtz (Zkittlez x Gelato) cross with a heavier yield than most of the Runtz lines on the market. I used a Banana Z / Zkittle from Terphogz which was crossed with my favourite Gelato #33. Dutch Passion wanted a limited-edition indica dominant hybrid which would appeal to their more demanding customers, so my main focus was to achieve consistently high THC levels with the best taste and highest yields possible.”

Pink Banana Runtz, grow tips from Antonio

Pink Banana Runtz is compact during vegetative growth and quite bushy. During flowering she has a medium stretch. The main colas can develop into chunky and large proportions. 

Overall, this is a good strain to lollypop i.e. remove lower branches allowing the plant to focus on the upper blooms. Keep these in the optical sweet-spot and you will see how chunky they can become. Harvest is usually around weeks 8-9 of bloom in good conditions.

Don’t be afraid to defoliate at the end of veg or the start of bloom. This process can be fairly intense if required. You can also defoliate again in the middle of flowering, around week 4-5. This defoliation helps light penetrate through the canopy and increase the size of the blooms/buds. Pink Banana Runtz is made from tough, stable genetics and can handle the stress of heavy leaf removal. 

During late flowering, and especially with colder grow room ‘lights-out’ temperatures, a pinkish shimmer can develop on the leaves and buds. This gives the buds an extra special visual touch that sets them apart from other Runtz lines.
