HighLife Cup 2025: Four Dutch Passion strains awarded!

Dutch Passion are thrilled to announce that they have been honoured with four more Cannabis Cups at the 2025 Highlife Cup event! Dutch Passion are deeply grateful for the recognition and will continue working hard to deliver quality strains for growers around the world. Winning a cannabis cup from the Highlife event is always extra special. So, to receive 4 in one night is a rare honour. The Highlife Cannabis Cup was established in the 1990’s by Dutch grow magazine ‘Highlife’. It is Europe's longest-running and largest cannabis competition with cups for the best flowers, hash and extracts. 

Normally entries come from coffeeshops & boutique growers, but 2025 marked the first year that major seed banks were allowed to compete directly against each other. 

The Highlife Cup reputation stems from a rigorous, fair judging process where a handpicked jury of experienced growers and smokers blind-test samples impartially over 8-10 weeks. That’s why a Highlife Cup feels extra special!

Slush Mint Cake (1st place; Seeds Mostly Indica)

Slush Mint Cake has picked up her first cannabis cup before she has even been released! She is an indica dominant hybrid between Slurmint and Ice Cream Cake. 

THC levels hover around 25%, sometimes above. The searing potency of this new feminised seed variety is complemented by a heavyweight terpene content. 

If you love delicious smelling weed you will adore this candy, gassy and creamy terpene profile. This is authentic smelling pungent cali-weed with sweet, sour and fruity notes. A brisk 8–9-week indoor bloom time completes this cannabis cup winning debutantes glittering allure.

Slush Mint Cake is the latest high-performance strain to come from the collaboration between Dutch Passion and Antonio, who now has over 40 independent cannabis cups of his own and one of Europe’s best collections of cannabis cup winning mothers. Auto Frozen Biscotti (2nd place; Seeds Autoflower)

Auto Frozen Biscotti only just missed 1st Prize in the autoflower seed category. She is a high-THC hybrid autoflower strain created by crossing Auto Oreoz OG (Oreoz x Auto Glueberry OG) with a high-quality Biscotti clone. 

She consistently registers very high THC levels and produces fairly compact plants with an XL yield and a typical autoflower seed to harvest time of around 11 weeks. Fruity & sour notes alternate with a sweet, creamy flavour and a strong diesel aroma. 

The gassier/diesel terpenes from the Biscotti genetics often dominate this autoflowering cross. A perfect combo of scorching potency, heavy yields and dank American flavours.

Auto Cinderella Jack (3rd place; Seeds Outdoor)

Auto Cinderella Jack is an established best-seller noted for her independently verified 26% THC levels. That’s stronger than most feminised seed varieties! Not only is she an XL-yielding high-THC indoor banger, but Auto Cinderella Jack is also exceptionally well suited to outdoor cannabis cultivation too and scooped 3rd place in the ‘Outdoor cannabis seed’ category.

Auto Cinderella Jack takes around 3 months to grow outdoors from autoflower seed to harvest, meaning that she will deliver a top-drawer harvest even in the shortest of summers. The Highlife judges loved the slamming potency and great spicy, fruity & pine-like flavour of this premium hybrid autoflower.

Passion #1 (3rd place; Outdoor)

Passion #1 is an established hybrid photoperiod feminised outdoor cannabis seed variety. She remains one of the best green outdoor varieties to have been developed in California in the 1970s and has been grown in The Netherlands since 1980. 

Stable, proven and with THC levels around 20% she suits outdoor growers seeking maxed-out potency alongside massive growth potential. In sunny conditions and good soil Passion #1 can reach 3-4m / 10-13ft tall and almost as wide.
