Cannabis seed reviews of the month (November 2021)

Auto Brooklyn Sunrise by @Haoss: a full tent of well stacked blooms from a single plant

Modern autoflowers thrive in a well-controlled environment with high intensity LED light. This impressive Auto Brooklyn Sunrise review from @Haoss shows how a single plant can fill a grow room when grown from the best autoflower seeds. In this case a Mars TS1000 LED grow light was used, and the plant was grown in a mix of soil, coco and perlite.

While the autoflower was young, @Haoss gently tied the branches down to encourage an open canopy. This allowed excellent LED coverage/penetration, the vigorous hybrid genetics produced 20-30 blooms. Dutch Passion auto genetics are renowned for their numerous blooms and heavy yields, this grow was no exception with a dry harvest of 6.3 oz/175g. That’s an excellent return from the 150W light. Auto Banana Blaze by @djgrowingmj: premium potency, easy to grow and XL yields

Auto Banana Blaze may be one of Dutch Passion’s most affordable strains ever, but despite the  budget pricing she delivers fine quality buds in generous quantities. These indica seeds contain rare Afghani Kush heritage with a unique sweet banana taste to the buds.

@djgrowingmj cultivated this Auto Banana Blaze in a small 60cm x 60cm tent with a 100W UFO LED in soil with a fabric grow container. These allow great levels of root aeration and (just like airpots) are highly recommended.

Auto Banana Blaze is part of the Afghani Kush cannabis seed collection. These indica plants have a short, bushy growth style. The Kush genetics are durable, low maintenance and tough enough to take a beating. The plants have the typical Dutch Passion autoflower structure, with a chunky central bloom and a ring of slightly smaller side-blooms. Auto Banana Blaze is a perfect plant to allow to grow naturally without any training, as @djgrowingmj noted in his comments.

The sticky buds have a delicious creamy, sweet, fruity and tropical taste/aroma. Many growers comment on the great anti-anxiety effects, an excellent strain for relaxing and de-stressing. Medical growers find this strain has particularly sedating effects useful for rest and relaxation.

The aroma is delightful, great nose-appeal with bag-penetrating aromas and a pungent old-school funk. It truly stinks, but in the best way. Auto Banana Blaze takes around 12 weeks from autoflower seed to harvest. That’s a week or two longer than some autos, but the extra week allows the signature heavy blooms to fatten up and the THC levels to max out. You won't be disappointed!

Critical Orange Punch by @sider79: heavy yields and crystal covered buds within 8 weeks!

Critical Orange Punch is a hybrid photoperiod feminised seed variety. Along with her autoflower seed sister strain, Auto Critical Orange Punch, these are some of Dutch Passion’s most affordably priced cannabis seeds ever.

In 2018 Auto Critical Orange Punch was voted a Top-10 strain by High Times! That’s a serious accolade and you can be sure that the photoperiod feminised seed version is every bit as good!

Critical Orange Punch has a fruity and earthy character. The hybrid buds are hard and produced in generous quantities. This is an easy strain to grow and trim, with thick full blooms coated in resin and with few leaves to remove during harvest. No harvest quantity was given, but the three Critical Orange Punch plants all seemed to be around 100-125g each (dry buds), possibly more.

The zesty citrus scent has a skunky new-school pungency. Alongside the high THC levels - this is a satisfying plant both to grow and smoke. Commercial growers enjoy the fast flowering time, bloom is often complete around/within 8 weeks. There is a great deal to love about this tough feminised seed variety, that’s before you consider the budget pricing!
