Cannabis seed reviews of the month (December 2021)

Every month thousands of Dutch Passion cannabis seed growers complete their grow and harvest high-end crops. Some of these grows can be seen on social media and grow forums. We have brought you three of the best grow diaries from December 2021 featuring Auto Blueberry, Auto Lemon Kix and Durban Poison. December also brought cannabis cups to Orange Hill Special and Auto Blueberry!

Auto Blueberry + Orange Hill Special (cannabis cup winners)

Auto Blueberry and Orange Hill Special both collected 1st Place victories in 2021 in Argentina. Anyone looking for high-end, connoisseur quality strains with maxed-out THC levels need look no further!

Orange Hill Special took 1st Prize in the Outdoor Category. The judges were equally impressed by the massive yields and potency of this resinous citrus skunk. These photoperiod feminised cannabis seeds are known for solid 20%+ THC levels with a pleasingly pungent and penetrating orange skunk scent. Although normally regarded as an indoor strain, Orange Hill Special also does very well outdoors in mild climates. Many thanks and congratulations to the growers, @elprimotips and @semasojitosrojos.

Auto Blueberry won 1st prize, in the Hydroponic Category. She was grown by @lalogrower in partnership with @hidrofarmercba. Although Auto Blueberry is traditionally grown for her premium quality buds. She is also a heavy yielder in the right conditions. In this case producing 445 grams of dry buds from a single Auto Blueberry grown in a DWC system made by @hidrofarmercba. The judges loved the rich taste of dark forest fruits and the blazingly powerful anti-anxiety effects.

Auto Blueberry @Tweezer, topped auto with over 500g yield

Auto Blueberry got a 10/10 rating from @Tweezer. Few growers are skilled enough produce 500g+ yields from an auto! In this case the grower combined elite genetics with powerful LED  lights to push the genetics to the max.

Auto Blueberry was grown under strong LED lights allowing her to produce a monster yield of 588g/20.75 ounces. 19 hours of daily light was used from autoflower seed to harvest. This outstanding Auto Blueberry was grown in a dripper system in a blend of coco fibre and perlite in a 17 litre airpot. Nutrients came from General Hydroponics.

The Auto Blueberry was ‘topped’ (had her growing tip removed) on day 24. This is a technique favoured by some experienced auto growers. When done well, topping is claimed to produce a bushier auto with heavy yields. Not all autoflower strains are tough enough to cope with topping and recover in time to deliver an XXL harvest. But Auto Blueberry handled it like a pro and went on to deliver a truly epic display in bloom.

Auto Lemon Kix by @bon_gg, 10/10 XL harvest!

Auto Lemon Kix is one of just a handful of Dutch Passion autoflower seeds to have made it into the exclusive High THC cannabis seed collection, home to only the finest genetics in the Dutch Passion collection. Expect THC levels up to and even above 25% in optimised conditions.

Auto Lemon Kix seeds are the real deal, getting a 10/10 potency rating from @bon_gg. The grower was also thrilled with the single plant yield of 489g/17.25 ounces. The best auto genetics are astounding and in a different league to run-of-the-mill autoflower seeds.

680W of modern LED, an easy-to-use dripper system using coco/perlite mix and an Auto Lemon Kix seed proved a dream combo for @bon_gg’s first ever autoflower grow. And what a result! Almost half a kilo of dried buds with top-shelf potency.

Some LST and defoliation was done after week 6, allowing improved LED light penetration to the numerous bloom points. The 16-week grow cycle was the slowest the Dutch Passion team have seen for Auto Lemon Kix, but the heavy yield rewarded the grower with a harvest he found almost too good to be true.

Durban Poison by @GHdog22, 10/10 rating for this connoisseur feminised sativa strain

With a 10/10 rating, @GHdog22 found Durban Poison a powerful strain with delightfully strong sativa effects. At harvest the buds had a wet weight of 11.3 ounces. Therefore, the dry buds would likely have weighed around 2 ounces or so. The buds had some eye-pleasing purple hues, Durban Poison is a strain known for great bag appeal and an unusual taste with hints of aniseed.

Durban Poison was an easy strain to grow. Here she was grown in soil with LED grow lights - a popular, simple and effective combination. Durban Poison is also often grown outdoors where her tough South African genetics are able to withstand quite a beating. She usually needs around 8-9 weeks to complete bloom. Get the conditions optimised and she can deliver spectacular yields.
