Best cannabis seed reviews of May 2022

In this May 2022 review, three of our classic strains produced some top-shelf buds for three lucky online growers who used a mix of autoflower strains and feminised strains to produce some great looking home-grown cannabis. All the grows were conducted under LED grow lights, the preferred light source for those seeking to push their cannabis genetics to the max. Auto Ultimate by @Unluckygardener, autoflower seeds for those seeking maximum yield

Auto Ultimate has a reputation as probably the heaviest yielding Dutch Passion autoflower strain. @Unluckygardener managed to get lucky with this grow, producing some chunky long blooms that really were as big as his forearm! As well as a fat main bloom several particularly chunk side blooms grew and contributed to the generous 200g dry harvest. Flecks of autumnal purples/browns could be seen in the sticky blooms, adding to the bag appeal. With a 10/10 grower rating, Auto Ultimate lived up to her reputation.

@unluckygardener wisely allowed his Auto Ultimate plant a full 13 weeks to swell to her impressive final size. This is a couple of weeks longer than the typical autoflower strain but the exceptional extra bud/resin production really is worth the wait. The 7 ounce/200g dry harvest was particularly impressive given that just 250W of LED was used.

The Auto Ultimate seeds were germinated in rock wool cubes and grown in soil with manual watering. A wide range of Advanced Nutrients were used including pH Perfect Grow & Bloom, B52, Big Bud, Bud Candy and others. Some defoliation was done around weeks 7-9, this allowed better light penetration to the emerging blooms and helped contribute to the enviable harvest.

Blueberry by @AmigoGrow

With 28 ounces / 800g of connoisseur quality Blueberry buds from 6 plants grown in coco fibre, @amigogrow enjoyed a top quality result. The Blueberry buds were all sticky with a velvet-like trichome coating and fruity berry aroma. Some cool conditions in bloom allowed the grower to add some purple/blue hues to the buds. The legendary Blueberry genetics allow for extreme potency, just finishing the joint can be quite a challenge!

Despite this being @amigogrow’s first attempt at growing in coco fibre he got a seriously impressive result using Advanced Nutrients and a PK booster from Canna. Six Dutch Passion Blueberry plants were grown in a 150cm x 150cm (5 ft x 5 ft) tent underneath 680W of LED. These multi cannabis cup winning genetics thrived under the high-quality LED and solid grow conditions to produce 6 healthy plants which averaged 4-5 ounces (around 130g) each.

No issues were seen during the grow - these are fully proven genetics with thousands of repeat growers who love the smooth, soothing anti-anxiety high. With yields of just under 5 ounces per plant these genetics are impressive yielders, but most grow Blueberry seeds for the delicious taste and blissfully enjoyable effects.

Strawberry Cough by @myrceneCB1

Famed for her stressbusting, creative/energetic high, Strawberry Cough has a cult-following of repeat growers who have fallen in love with this legendary sativa. @myrceneCB1 grew 4 Strawberry Cough plants with the trademark long, sticky blooms. Under good conditions these feminised seeds produce very high THC levels with a smooth, anti-anxiety effect. The 531g dry yield from 4 plants shows that good yields are possible from these high THC genetics. The grow under the highly rated 480W Migro LED system also produced some great light blue/purple hues to the buds adding to the bag appeal.

513g from the 480W Migro LED system shows good grow skills from @myrcene CB1 on his first fully organic grow. This was also his first use of a self-built automated watering/ drainage system which helped tremendously with watering of each plant.

Some issues were seen fine-tuning Biobizz nutrient doses based on plant symptoms. But the issues were not severe, and the plants pushed through delivering a great result for the grower with a new watering system on his organic debut. Great result!
