Best cannabis seed reviews of March 2022

After reviewing numerous successful Dutch Passion online grows this month the team have narrowed down their three favourite grows. 2x Auto Lemon Kix were grown in coco under LED, an Auto Ultimate was grown in soil and a photoperiod feminised Blueberry plant was grown in soil with LED producing a stunning result. Auto Lemon Kix by @FindTruth: “Feels like the most potent strains I’ve grown”

With THC levels around 25%, Auto Lemon Kix is one of the most potent autoflower strains currently available from any seedbank. As one of Dutch Passion’s strongest ever strains she is part of the High THC cannabis seed collection. Two Auto Lemon Kix plants were grown indoors by @FindTruth. One plant took 13 weeks from autoflower seed to harvest, delivering 100g of dry bud. The other slower-ripening plant took an unusually long 15 weeks from seed to harvest but delivered an staggering 187g of super-potent buds. As always with Dutch Passion autos, a longer blooming phenotype assures the patient grower a mega-yield.

@FindTruth was impressed with the epic 287g haul from two plants, but reserved the highest praise for the high-quality buds:

• “This definitely feels like the most potent strain I've grown in my limited time as a grower. The effects are immediate, relaxing but also uplifting, and quite long lasting. Taste is sweet and not harsh at all. For me, it's a very pleasant feeling that I would highly recommend […] The largest flowers were a little smaller than tennis balls pre-drying and smelled more sweet and lemony with only a hint of skunk […] The buds were packed with trichomes! Dutch Passion did not disappoint with the quality. Auto Lemon Kix is definitely a great strain that I can’t recommend highly enough.”

@FindTruth used the proven combo of quality autoflower seeds with a modern LED grow light to allow the Auto Lemon Kix genetics to deliver optimised quality. The 50-litre grow sacks of aerated coco fibre/perlite allowed the autoflowers to reach maximum size under the powerful LEDs. Manual watering was used throughout, it was a simple grow with Gaia Green nutrients. No significant issues were encountered, and the grower simply had to water the plants and watch them swell under 18 hours of daily light.

Auto Ultimate by @lonelystoners, epic XL harvests as standard

Auto Ultimate is perhaps Dutch Passion’s heaviest yielding autoflower strain of all time. The reason she is such a popular strain is because she is also famously easy to grow. In this grow, two Auto Ultimate were grown simply in 5-litre containers of soil using manual watering. Standard BioBizz nutrients were used alongside a tent and LED from Mars Hydro.

• “Super stoked… 350 grams?!?! Whaaat? Will start the next soon! Happy growing y’all!"

The two Auto Ultimates produced heavily branched plants with numerous side blooms surrounding the main central bloom. @lonelystoners used some support netting to prevent the top-heavy blooms toppling over during late bloom.

Other than that, the grow was straightforward with no problems or difficulties encountered. The plants were grown under 20 hours of daily light from autoflower seed to harvest. The grower did comment that the odour from the plants was particularly powerful in late bloom, growers are encouraged to ensure their carbon filters are up to the job.

Auto Ultimate grows well in soil, coco, hydro or any other grow system. THC levels are very high with a powerful anti-anxiety effect and soul-soothing qualities. But most repeat growers love the uncomplicated passport to the heaviest yields they have seen on an autoflower!

Blueberry by @FoTwenny, old-school quality rarely gets any better than this

Blueberry is a medium-yielding photoperiod feminised strain which is grown for the connoisseur-quality buds which produce a high with legendary enjoyability and blissful stress-dissolving qualities. She was grown in soil with an impressive 7-ounce yield. The plant grown by @FoTwenny was strikingly beautiful, with an array of blue and purple hues and the fan leaves pointing upwards to the 240W LED.

• “This cultivar was relatively easy to grow and presented some beautiful colours during her late flower fade. Smells amazing! Great indica stone without making me too sleepy. I enjoy the euphoria with a good movie and some munchies.”

The Blueberry was topped in week 5 producing a heavy yielding bushy plant which went on to produce a heavy yield thanks to the numerous blooms. The plant was defoliated a couple of times throughout the grow to improve light penetration to the berry-scented blooms. Flowering was completed in 9 weeks of 12/12 light in the 3.4-gallon (15 litre) container following the 7-week period of vegetative growth. Some of the taller branches were tied down using the LST technique.

The iconic Blueberry colours were evident in the stunning harvest pictures. Rich blue hues combined with a frosty trichome coating. The fan leaves cupped upwards towards the LED light in the great grow conditions provided by @FoTwenny. For many growers, Blueberry remains the most beautiful and enjoyable of all indica cannabis strains.
