Best cannabis seed reviews of April 2023

Auto Mokum's Tulip by @amadeo

With a 9/10 rating, Auto Mokum’s Tulip impressed @amadeo with her easy growth, numerous sticky blooms and loud aromas. It was a simple and straightforward grow, taking 12 weeks.  These hybrid autoflower seeds are known for producing consistently strong, sticky buds and have a particularly high proportion of repeat buyers.

@amadeo grew the Auto Mokum’s Tulip in a 20-litre breathable fabric container filled with a 50/50 mix of peat soil/coco fibre. A small amount of perlite was added to the grow mixture. ‘Hesi’ nutrients were used. A 240W Migro Aray 4 LED grow light was used to illuminate the 80x120cm grow area.

Harvest took place 12 weeks after autoflower seed germination, typical for this strain. The Auto Mokum’s Tulip plant was short with chunky buds and multiple blooms. Well done @amadeo on an impressive grow and harvest!

Blueberry by @Localbudz

@Localbudz produced a great Blueberry feminised seed grow, with 2 plants yielding a heavy 20oz/580g dry harvest in a soil/semi-hydro set up. Not only did Blueberry produce her trademark rich delicious dark-fruit aromas but she really filled the jars too with a bumper harvest of buds that got an 8/10 quality rating.

• “Blueberry was easy to grow with great yields and smell. Great smelling bud and very nice smoke with heavy blueberry flavour. She produced some amazing full melt ice bubble hash.”
  

A fairly long 10-week period of vegetative growth was given to the Blueberry plants. The branches were carefully trained in a manifold-style arrangement. This scrog-style trellising technique allows great illumination of all emerging bud sites.

With a powerful 1300W lighting system (4 other plants were also grown alongside the 2xBlueberry), the huge yield was assured thanks to the cannabis cup winning Blueberry genetics which are professionally crafted to reward the serious grower. Well done @Localbudz.

Sugar Bomb Punch @Barbagrows

@Barbagrows produced a big harvest from his indoor-grown Sugar Bomb Punch, which was given an unusually long 20-week period of vegetative growth. This was followed by a brief 8-week bloom which provided a frosty-looking harvest with dense buds. An impressive 9/10 strain rating was given.

All the lower branches and foliage were removed until the Sugar Bomb Punch canopy reached the SCROG screen. It took some time, but the patient work by @Barbagrows was rewarded with an XL harvest from these tough genetics.

• “Beautiful strain to work with. Started with two phenos but had to re-home one of them due to space issues. The one I kept grew into a beautiful bushy plant and flowered into nice long chunky colas. Some foxtails where developed, not sure if due to genetics or due to excess light. Buds covered in trichomes heads and man when I say heads! Biggest ones I ever saw on plants that I grew!”

This indoor grow used a soil/perlite mix as well as 200W of LED light from two fixtures. It’s worth noting how well the Sugar Bomb Punch coped with such an extensive lollypop-style trim. Not all strains have the breeding and resilience to cope that well and still deliver such a heavy and potent harvest.

It’s also great to hear how impressed the grower was with the insanely dense frosting of bulbous trichomes which covered the potent buds. That’s why the strain received her ‘Sugar Bomb’ name and has become such a popular repeat feminised seed choice with home growers.
