Fruit Bomb Punch is a fusion of several top genetic lines and a tribute to the completion of a thorough, long-term selection process to create a new, unique cannabis strain. Fruit Bomb Punch is a cross between an Erdbeer IBL x (Tangie x Cherry Pie) BX1 and our multi-cup-winning Sugar Bomb Punch. The Fruit Bomb genetics are based on a Swiss Erdbeer IBL (In Bred Line). This Swiss landrace was originally developed for outdoor growers and is known for her sweet, fruity strawberry flavour. For years, the fruitiest phenos were crossed with each other to enhance this profile.

During one of these selection rounds, an Erdbeer plant was accidentally pollinated by a female clone—a potent cross of Tangie and Cherry Pie—that was growing nearby. The offspring had small buds but possessed exceptional fruitiness and unprecedented trichome production. This new discovery was crossed with a previously discovered fruity "headbanger" phenotype. From these cannabis seeds, one phenotype emerged that stood head and shoulders above the rest: a large, strong plant with extremely heavy blooms, a solid layer of trichomes and a complex, chemically sweet aroma reminiscent of a candy factory. This was the birth of the first true Fruit Bomb! To stabilise these unique traits and make them available as weed seeds, she was backcrossed with the original Erdbeer IBL.
