This cross was made by the same auto-breeder behind Auto Red Tropicana Cookies. He used Antonio’s cup-winning Slush Mint Cake clone and crossed it with his favourite Indica-dominant Auto Red Tropicana Cookies parent.

After completing multiple selections and generations, Auto Slush Mint Cake was approved for general public release. In terms of terpenes and effect, this original Dutch Passion autoflowering seed variety stays very close to the photoperiod original; ‘candy & gas’ are the most common terpene profiles. Auto Slush Mint Cake is a feminised autoflowering cannabis seed variety based on the photoperiod Slush Mint Cake. During the flowering phase this autoflower produces beautiful dark leaves and buds.

The often (dark) purple and sometimes even black autumn colours contrast beautifully with the dense white layer of trichomes that can stretch far onto the larger leaves.

Flowering time of Auto Slush Mint Cake

Auto Slush Mint Cake has an average autoflower seed-to-harvest time of around 10–11 weeks. She can handle colder temperatures reasonably well during the flowering phase, although this may delay flowering by about a week. Make sure humidity stays low, because the extreme compactness of the buds increases the risk of mould/bud rot. Good airflow/wind is essential. For the absolute best results grow her in an optimised indoor climate of around 20–27 °C with humidity below 50%.

Outdoors it is recommended to grow Auto Slush Mint Cake mainly in slightly drier, sunnier and warmer climates.

In a temperate climate she usually also performs very well outdoors during the three warmest summer months, but it is best to grow her in pots so you can protect her during prolonged periods of bad weather.

She is unfortunately less suitable for colder and wetter northern (or southern hemisphere) regions. Due to the compactness and high density of the buds the risk of bud rot and mould is then relatively high.

Auto Slush Mint Cake has an L (for Large) yield in a relatively short seed-to-harvest time of 10–11 weeks on average. When grown in an optimised climate you will sometimes encounter phenotypes that can be ready for harvest in around 65–70 days. The buds become very compact but are usually medium to small in size. However, the cannabis flowers have a very high density and therefore weigh a considerable amount.

In a controlled indoor grow Auto Slush Mint Cake can deliver large harvests, especially with the SOG method. An experienced grower can certainly achieve around 500–600 g/m².

For beginners the yield is normally more in the region of 400–450g/m². This also depends strongly on care, climate and the strength (and duration) of the light. Outdoors, plants grown in a warm and sunny climate will produce around 50–75g per plant, with outliers up to 100g per plant.
