Pink Runtz Cake was created by crossing Antonio’s Pink Banana Runtz with Ice Cream Cake (Wedding Cake x Gelato #33). The selected mother for this new cross has compact buds and a thick white blanket of trichomes covering both the leaves and the flowers. This cross produces plants that can develop beautiful colour shifts toward the end of the flowering phase. Cooler temperatures enhance this effect and bring out the pink/purple hues that gave the strain its name.

The plants are easy to grow and don’t require any special knowledge to succeed. They prefer organic nutrients, which also deliver the best possible flavour in the end-product. In general, the plants stay bushy and compact during the vegetative phase, while you’ll see a stronger initial stretch once flowering begins.

The main cola(s) have no problem towering above the canopy. If you want to push her growth more laterally, you can top and/or fim her. This strain is also highly recommended for SCROG grows. If you’re growing in SOG or naturally, it’s better to leave the main cola intact and bend or supercrop it to control the height. Flowering time averages 8-9 weeks, but some phenotypes can finish in around 52-55 days.
