Peach Candy x Ice Cream Cake: compact with a fast-flowering phase and white, sticky buds

Peaches & Cream was developed by crossing a Peach Candy F2 with Antonio’s now well-known #1 Ice Cream Cake father. This male parent is part of Ice Cream Haze regular and Slush Mint Cake BX1, as well as the full Cakes & Cream line. This strain came about by making an F2 generation from LaChanvriere’s regular Peach Candy (Candy Chrome x Peach Melba) and then selecting the most fruity, sweet, peach-dominant phenotype for this new cross. Antonio has been a big fan of LaChanvriere’s Peach Melba from the start — it has won multiple awards at the Homegrown Cup and captured many cannabis lovers’ hearts. That’s where the idea for this project was born!

The selected phenotype is a compact, indica-dominant plant with a relatively fast flowering time. Her buds become dense and firm. The buds, and even the leaves, are absolutely packed with trichomes. The buds are also very sticky and aromatic. She grows easily with a nice, predictable growth pattern — not super fast, but not slow either. With an average flowering time of 7 to 8 weeks, she can definitely be called fast-flowering.

Her aroma is fruity, sweet and dominantly peachy. The plants smell absolutely magnificent during flowering. Once dried, you’ll still notice that peach aroma, but a gassy note also comes through. It’s both complex and delicious. By crossing this Peach Candy F2 phenotype with Ice Cream Cake, Peaches & Cream was created. The fusion of these two genetic lines gives most plants an even more penetrating smell and taste, plus the potential for more colour in the buds. The leaves can turn almost black in cooler conditions, and you shouldn’t be surprised to find purple or bluish tints here and there. The flowers are completely snow-covered and mega-potent! Lab results for this strain average around 25%, with outliers reaching almost 28% THC. Extremely strong weed, therefore only suitable for experienced smokers and growers.

Sometimes you get weed strains that smell amazing but taste weaker; that’s not the case here! Peaches & Cream tastes almost exactly like it smells, and when you vape or smoke it, you’ll feel like you’re in a candy store.
