USA. Cannabis legalized in Oregon, Alaska and Washington DC

USA cannabis prohibition is being dismantled state by state. In the last week Oregon, Alaska and Washington DC voted to legalize cannabis. Alaska voted for the legalization of recreational cannabis and the rules will allow people aged 21 (or over) to have an ounce of cannabis (30g) or up to 6 plants. Washington DC allows up to 2 ounces (60g) and 6 plants. Oregon has voted to allow legal recreational cannabis with a generous 8 ounce (220g) personal allowance or 4 plants. The initiative to legalize cannabis in Florida failed by a narrow margin but is expected to pass at the next vote in 2016.
With more states planning their own legalisation votes the USA is setting a clear democratic example to the rest of the world when it comes to cannabis.
