The Netherlands: Future of the weed pass system still unclear, 60% of population against it

With the new Dutch government still being under construction, the issue of the weed pass system still remains unaddressed by the coalition negotiating parties. But even members of Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s VVD party in the three weed pass provinces are calling for abolishing it, and so do important Dutch political players such as the mayors of the two biggest cities, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, plus the mayor of Maastricht. And a respective poll shows that 60% of the Dutch people are pleading to nullify it, too…
