Puerto Rico. University study shows more uses of CBD in brain conditions
Puerto Rico. A recent university study at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico has shown yet more remarkable properties of CBD. This latest study has shown that CBD actually helps people recover memory loss after suffering the degenerative effects of Alzheimers and Parkinsons diseases. As well as seeming to offer a role of damage-repair there is also the indication that CBD offers some degree of neuroprotection as well. CBD, or cannabidiol, is typically the second most abundant of the 80 cannabinoids found in cannabis (THC is usually the dominant cannabinoid found in cannabis). Typically CBD, which isnt pyschoactive, is found at levels of up to 0.3% in most cannabis varieties. But recent work from breeders has given varieties with CBD levels of 5%+ and these varieties are attracting a lot of interest from medical cannabis users as well as research groups. In Europe the main breeding activity with CBD has been done with Dutch Passion and the CBD Crew. CBD Skunk Haze is one such CBD-rich variety which has resulted from this work,
