Germany agrees to legalize medical cannabis in 2017
The German cabinet have recently met to approve new laws that will allow medical use of cannabis in 2017. The laws will allow patients to use cannabis if they have consulted with a doctor and have no alternative. The German Health Ministry has approved the new laws following years of pressure from medical cannabis users who have found cannabis useful across a wide range of conditions. The plans to legalize cannabis use brings medical use of cannabis into the mainstream medical world in one of Europe’s largest and most influential countries. Hopefully other EU countries will implement new laws as a result.
